Meth-B-Gone, A Faith-based Initiative for Reclaiming Our Communities










The purpose of The Drug Task Force is to investigate major crimes involving narcotics. The Drug Task Force has put together the following information to help answer your questions. Signs of meth use

  • A change in personality
  • Lack of respect
  • Lack of caring about any thing
  • Personal hygiene is not very good

Signs of a meth lab

  • Increased late night activity
  • Smoking outside in cold weather
  • A lot of short time traffic
  • Chemical odors
  • People you do not usually see in your neighborhood
  • High traffic of what appears to be delivery of bagged groceries or boxed items
  • Cluttered and un kept yard as well as inside the home/building

What happens next?

  • The information is verified
  • Surveillance is set up
  • Research is done to see if items have been purchased that are required to make meth
  • You will not see a marked police vehicle in the area

Giving your name when you call

It is not required that you give your name. However, if you do not give your name the police have no way to contact you if they need more information. Information is considered to be more reliable if you give your name.    [menu]

Helping your community

People need to be willing to get involved in their community, to work together as a community. Willing to come forward with information they may have, in some cases willing to testify in court. Possibly being able to videotape illegal activity.    [menu]

  • Cold pills containing ephedrine or pseudoephedrine
  • Acetone
  • Alcohol (gasoline additives or rubbing)
  • Toluene (brake cleaner)
  • Engine starter (ether)
  • Drain cleaner (sulfuric acid)
  • Coffee filters
  • Iodine (veterinarian products)
  • Salt (table/rock)
  • Batteries (lithium)
  • Propane tank (anhydrous ammonia)
  • Lye (sodium hydroxide)
  • Matches (red phosphorus)
  • Dishes (pyrex/visions)
  • Muriatic acid
